The regular meeting of the Public Council under the Agency for Governance Efficiency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

At the outset, Council members were introduced to the activities of the Leadership Assessment Centre, its modern assessment system, and the capabilities offered by advanced assessment technologies.

The meeting then reviewed the Agency’s performance over the first nine months of 2026. Discussions focused on enhancing the effectiveness of public administration, introducing modern management approaches into the civil service, and ensuring that ongoing reforms are geared towards achieving tangible results. Participants also exchanged views on future priorities and the key areas for their implementation.

The meeting noted that, in accordance with the Public Council’s work plan, public opinion and citizens’ submissions relating to the relevant policy areas had been examined, and the necessary analytical work had been undertaken. Particular emphasis was placed on incorporating proposals and recommendations from civil society representatives into the drafting of regulatory legal acts, as well as on improving the practical relevance and effectiveness of decisions adopted.

During the discussions, participants put forward proposals and recommendations aimed at improving management effectiveness in public authorities and organisations, modernising human resource management practices, developing the capacity of public sector personnel, and strengthening performance and accountability within the civil service.

In conclusion, the meeting underscored the importance of further enhancing the work of the Public Council, strengthening openness and transparency in public administration, expanding effective engagement with the public, and translating the proposals put forward into practical measures.
